Sara Knits: Learn How to Knit!

I wanted to write a bit more about my knitting projects on the blog! Check out my pictures, links and videos on how to knit here.

Do you want to learn how to knit? Check out the knitting pattern for this beautiful yellow sweater!

Thank you so much for your kind words about my latest obsession: Knitting! I get plenty of questions about the sweaters I wear in my posts, and the projects I share on Instagram. Now, I decided to make a post here on the blog too. My goal is to gather all the knitting content in one easy-to-find spot so that you can learn how to knit too!

The top picture depicts the yellow sweater I designed and knitted myself. If you recognize it, it's probably because I wear it in the header image of the blog too! This is one of my favorite garments. I call it my Sunflower sweater. I'm also wearing a lovely knitted collar in the same color.

I finally had some help translating my first knitting patterns to English, and I'm beyond excited! You can find the pattern for my sunflower sweater in my webshop at sarabackmo.com. Follow the link below to buy the pattern! And don't forget to post pictures of your progress and tag them #saraknits!

Videos About Knitting

I know that a lot of garden enthusiasts often like knitting and crocheting too. I often reach for the knitting needles as soon as it gets too cold to be in the garden all the time. If you haven't tried it before, now is the time to get started! Why not watch my video below if you're interested in learning how to knit. This is my first knitting video. Make sure to subscribe to Sara's Kitchen Garden on Youtube to get a notification when I release a new video. The first part of my series is about catching on stitches. Enjoy!

How to Knit and Chrochet

Right now, I'm knitting a thick wool sweater. You can see more of my knitting projects on my Instagram. I'm usually working on a few things at once since I get bored if I do one thing at a time. Keep your eyes open for more videos and articles about knitting here on the blog. If you need some inspiration before you learn how to knit yourself, you can check the links below:

Sara's Kitchen Garden is first and foremost about gardening and I don't want to go completely overboard with the knitting here on the blog. So, that's why I'm going to update this post with more links and patterns in the future. Don't forget to check out my Instagram @saraskitchengarden for more inspiration and instructions.

I hope that my posts and patterns can help you learn how to knit this winter. Good luck!

hello Sara! i have only recently discovered your you tube videos and i am so happy i did! your enthusiasm is contagious. and i thank you for teaching us this new way to build healthy soil! we live in georgia in the southern united states and we have very poor clay soil so i'm encouraged by your beautiful results. i really like your garden shoes (boots) with the large yellow tabs to help get them on. where do you get them?

Hello! Thank you for your kind words. The boots are Blundstone´s from Australia. Mine are with steel toe, but you can get them without as well. I absolutely love them! Very comfortable too!?
